Re: Radar plugin v5.0.0 released

Thanks guys, it is not a new idea, not easy and has been considered. Anyway, the plugin works I think and he spent a lot of time on it evidently.

Did I ask for support in the wrong place or in the wrong way? Or did I ask a stupid question. I'm not sure what to do, other than downgrade, if I can't get some guidance.

Stupid questions are, IMO, not existing, only stupid answers.
Lack on helps or advises could be no one has a helpful answer? For me it's unfortunately the case. My MacOs knowledge is badly limited. All I've heard about this are several problem related to Mojave updates recently. Did you try another plugin or is it just radar_pi giving this issue?
Hopefully someone running this OS can show up with useful ideas.

Thanks for your prompt response. I have installed other plug-ins without a problem.

Hopefully, there is someone else with a suggestion.

I'm afraid I have to correct you! There are stupid questions.

There is nothing wrong with the installer. The problem is that the buttons are practically invisible and so I didn't see the continue button.

Hope that helps someone.

Wiggy,
What buttons?

Would you mind posting a screenshot showing where the button is or is not?
It is a question of degrees, not stupidity....
If you don't know it is there, how can you operate it?

We may need to change a form, to get the buttons more visible.

This is the installer window. If you look carefully (I didn't), there's a continue button at the bottom right. Of course, if you don't press it, nothing happens.

That is totally ridiculous. It is transparent and below the big black square. I think it should be changed. Is this Apple's answer for usability?

Re: Radar plugin v5.0.0 released

Hi,

Douwe, with the changes you made, the plugin works perfect now.
No AIS rollover issues anymore. Can use the one or two Windows layout.
Great.

I build it from source for my raspberry and it works.

Tested it the last week on a sailing trip ofer the North sea from the Netherlands to the UK.

Many, many thanks.

Regards

Andreas

Re: Radar plugin v5.0.0 released

Hello, I like to use opencpn and I thank the designers. However I have a problem that I can't solve on my own. The graphics card is an Intel hd on a Mini computer with w10pro. The version of opencpn is 5.0.604 after trying 5.0.518 and 5.0 when only installs the radar plugin pi the opengl changes and becomes grayed out. Without OpenGL the radar does not work is it possible to help me? Thank you

Re: Radar plugin v5.0.0 released

Phoebus..
- radar_pi needs OpenGl to work, that's correct.

What do you mean with " opengl changes and becomes grayed out." Where is it grayed out?
If you mean in tools->Display->Advanced the only way I've found to hide the OpenGl selection is to start OCPN by the command switch "no_opengl". (It may be I'm wrong here. Pls correct me anyone!)
Could you please tell us more and maybe show at least one OCPN session from the log file. (To upload a txt file you may add the extension .pdf to file before upload.)

Re: Radar plugin v5.0.0 released

Hakan, perhaps he has two Desktop icons for Opencpn,

one for "OpenCPN -with no OpenGL" opengl is not available.
one for "OpenCPN, opengl is available.

He may be starting the wrong one which will NOT run opengl under any circumstances! I believe this is done for debugging and fixing stuff.

PS: This may be another "FAQ" "Why can't I turn on "Accelerated Graphics-openGL"? It used to work!

Yes, you need his ini and log file..

Re: Radar plugin v5.0.0 released

I am French and my English is really so bad. On my opencpn I do parameters and "affichage" and "avancés" and i have a little square place with " carte graphique " utiliser le technologique OpenGL d,acceleration graphique. Normally I can put an x in the square but it is grey so I can't. I am really happy for the help.
