Karanga..
You can use the plugin manager. Options->Plugins.
Change catalog to "Beta" by "Settings" and then "Update Plugin Catalog: Beta. When upload is OK view radar_pi for updates.
Then go to Options|plug-ins and have a look at the screen shot below.
Select "beta" for updating the catalogue, then navigate to the radar plug-in,
select it and update.
Thanks guys
I have now edited my config file to include catalog expert=1, which has enabled access to beta catalogs.
When I click on update beta catalog, I get "cannot download data from url"
Which step have I missed?
Karanga..
Sorry. I forgot even if it was just an hour ago,
If you're using anything else then the production version of OCPN 5.2.4 you have to update the code to present master. The url is just fixed there. The github master is a "sandbox" and not yet ready for production.
I have catalogexpert=1 running correctly (I think) cos I now get options to select beta catalog update.
My understanding is that because I am running a sandbox version of OpenCPN, it does not yet have links to the new beta plugin. So I must either revert to production version, or wait for sandbox version to be updated?
To update your version you have to build from source.
If you're not able to do that you may have got you O version from someone else or downloaded an early AppVeyor version from Github. That feature is no longer possible so if you can't build from source yourself I think it's better to use the production release of OCPN.
