Franziska,
Thank you very much helping us solving this problem, after some 50 posts on the forum. It is very good for all of us to understand that the radar does not function without power.

Is the radar v5.3.3 plugin for Raspberry Pi working for Halo 20+. My current setup works flawlessly. Checking if any issues before I upgrade.

RPi 32 bits is OK right now, the 64 bit is flatpak only for which I am working on a fix.
HALO 20 has a restricted functionality set, which we don't properly cater for so some buttons might be there that don't work as your radar doesn't support those functions. But all functions that the radar has function just fine.
I do recommend to go for the 20+ version which has the same sort of "oomph" as the 24, skip the 20. The 20+ only has a little less range and angular resolution compared to 24 due to its smaller size.

It installs well now on both systems. The Icon appears.
But I don't have a radar here and cannot try the working. But is seems OK now.

That should be plenty. Now waiting for a 5.3.4 build and then a PR for the master catalog and our Flatpak users should finally have a release!

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released
The master catalog now contains v5.3.4 of the plug-in which has no change other than a (hopefully) functioning plug-in on Flatpak 20.04 for x86_64 and aarch64, and a smaller plug-in on Debian and Ubuntu.
For users other than the above there is no need to upgrade (although it won’t do any harm.)

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released
Lovely. Thanks for testing.
Note, due to a different styled version number (v5.3.4 versus 5.3.3) with a 'v' in front, the plugin page in O is unable to parse the version number when you upgrade the master catalog and shows "-1.0.0" as the version number and a button "downgrade". This is a little unfortunate, and we will fix it in the plugin and I'm sure O will get better at parsing as well.

Hello, trying to figure out how to connect the ray net to my laptop. You mention DIY cable. How did you connect and are you only using 4 wires?
Thanks

Re: Radar plugin 5.3.0-beta released
Not hijacking post but can someone steer me to instructions/tutorial on how to use a Halo 20+ on a computer or tablet without the MFD? The info seems to be scattered among hundreds of posts regarding Rpi's ect. I would be extremely appreciative thank you!!!
