Re: Radar Furuno 1622 on OpenCpn

I am not clear if the output is composite video or video output native Furuno, a friend who has a raymarine radar, which also has two video outputs, one Video and other Video RTN, going to get into an oscilloscope see what type of video is. Has anyone done this test? If so, it is easy to add a video capture on the raspberry pi, or another pc, mini-pc.
Thanks.

Diavolo...
Your radar is the old fashion analogue type. You can possibly take the video signal in to some kind of monitor but never to OCPN.
On today's radars the echoes are digitalized in a processor to a binary code where each echo is transmitted together with codes for distance, strength and angle. All broadcasted by a network using the IP (internet) protocoll.
