Quantum 2 question.

My understanding is the Quantum 2 must be married to a compatible MFD to work. Once it is, you can connect to the Quantum 2 via wifi.

My question is, Can you remove the MFD and still connect your pc to the Quantum2 via wifi? Or does the MFD have to stay connected for wifi to work all the time.?

Yes, this is needed. It does some not-yet-reverse-engineered mumbo jumbo to lock it to itself.
