puck not recognized

I have been a happy user of OpenCPN for years, but encountered a problem when recently upgrading to 4.0.

We upgraded OpenCPN on two Windows XP netbooks, and now they won't recognize either of our two GPS pucks, a GlobalSat and a Garmin 18x.

Windows Device Manager says the pucks are fine. GPSinfo shows the GlobalSat working, but the interface on OpenCPN seems to have changed and I can't figure out how to get it to recognize a USB GPS.

We have another Windows 7 laptop, with an older version of OpenCPN, and it still works fine.

Any assistance appreciated.

Hi

For me this is not related to the OpenCPN version.

What about comm's port?

foojin...
Can you post a screenshot of your connection settings, please? Like this one. Also make sure GPSInfo and OpenCPN are not running at the same time.

Try deleting the device and reinstalling.

Sorry about the delay, Nohal. Made the post, then went upisland without the device. Will post a screenshot as soon as machine and master are reunited.
