Point one,
ENC screen information is not complete. That's one of the whole points of vector charts-- they don't display complete information because you can click the display and get mor information at any time. You can click paper all you want, but it doesn't do the same thing.
Point two, if you're printing for some other reason, (instruction, for instance) this whole post doesn't apply. I don't teach sailing, and have no idea how to go about it.
So my conclusion is that if you intend to print a screen of vector
charts for any form of
navigation, (which is the only reason I can think of for needing to print it to scale) don't. Just don't.
If you insist on doing so, please restrict your
boating to the
east coast. Thank you.
