Printed Logs

I have been thinking about electronics failures. I like to keep a paper log as I sail, but it is inconvenient and I forget sometimes. There are also times a night when it is even more difficult.

So, I would like OCPN to do it for me. I keep a log using koni logbook and that is great but, what happens if electronics fail and I need to do some DR sailing? I've been thinking about having OPCN/Koni Logbook log out to printer every hour current position, course, and speed. Is that possible? Is anyone doing it? What printer would you use?

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Printed Logs

Every hour? Pencil & paper? We do that for the paper logbook - plus weather and sea state.
