Phil,
I took a look at your video. The 2 lines you are seeing coming from your boat's icon are the Heading (what your
autopilot sensor thinks your magnetic heading is) and your COG (course over ground... what the
GPS thinks you are doing).
Are you trying to get AIS data from your own AIS? If so, what brand/model and how is it attached into the
network? Is it a NMEA 183 or
NMEA 2000? And whatever it is attached to, is that attached to your computer? How?
Your scrolling speed for the NMEA debug window is VERY FAST. The intermittentness may be caused by too much data coming in. There is a way when setting up a connection to filter and prioritize each connection, and filter what "sentences" are accepted.
I believe in "Pro" mode, the DataHub can pull AIS data off the
internet to show beyond your
reception radius from your physical AIS. Are you trying to do that??
I don't have a DataHub so only know in
concept what I have read. I am also a NMEA 183 person, so not really up on the newer
NMEA 2000. But a little more detail might encourage someone to offer some help.
You might also look for a forum or FB group where users are helping each other specifically with DataHub.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
