Plugins & Ubuntu

I've now spent over an hour trying to search for an answer here and have given up. This is more a Linux Mint question than an OpenCPN question:

How do I change the permissions in usr/lib/opencpn so that I can copy the plugin files there?

Thank you.

Don't change any permissions. They are there for good reasons. Instead, temporary take the role of "root" by using
Quote:
$sudo mv "source of file(s)" /usr/lib/opencpn

Re: Plugins & Ubuntu

you should not manually need to use the cp command. Instead "sudo make install" or using sudo installing the deb package.
