Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

I have not tried different mice, but based on your suggestion, I opened up the context menu with the keyboard key.
The values still jump.

I can leave the mouse in place, and alternate between ESC and context-menu key on the keyboard.
Values jump back and forth, but only if OpenGL is unchecked.
When I go in settings and check it, no issue...

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Chandler...

I think I figured this out.

MSW occasionally send a mouse event with non-sense coordinates on right click. Dunno why....

So, I just filter them out. Please try a build of 4.1.1108 from current github master, and let me know if it is different. Hopefully it works for your PlugIn now.

Thanks
Dave

I do get a small shift with OpenGL off but it's a very consistent amount, so the coordinates can't be "nonsense".

hoolie...

"nonsense" in the sense that the mouse position coordinates (on screen) are negative. AFAICT, there is no such thing as negative window coordinates. OCPN dutifully calculates the lat/lon by doing the math, however.

Sorry Dave, I'm just getting back into work.
I'll download the latest master and give it a shot.
I'll report back shortly.

Re: Plugin - Grabbing correct cursor lat/lon

Dave,

I tried the latest build from Github, and it worked !
No jumps on right click, regardless of OpenGL setting.
My plugin now grabs the correct value.

Thanks for looking into this issue and fixing it.

V/r,
Chandler
