Just started to play with the wind history. For me it shows only little data, like 2 minutes, whereas the manual says 40minutes. Is there a possibility to change this?

OpenCPN 5.8.4, on Raspberry Pi. Data come via SignalK, since I first need to calculate TWS and TWD, since these data are missing in my N2K system.

The data time period is fixed to about 40 minutes. No options.
Since v5.8.4 some changes are made to that instrument. The newly released Beta2 test for v.5.10 include these changes.
The Beta2 also includes TWS/TWD calculation by Dashboard if only apparent wind data are available from SignalK.
You may want to try Beta2 to check it out?

Hi all,

I would like to know if ive found a bug, or that I'm doing something wrong.

I'm trying to get vmg to work on my android phone via the dashboard. I like the dampening effect option which works great for the sog.

The problem is that the vmg keeps showing "---", in the dashboard while the buildin " go to waypoint" display does show the vmg. See attached screenshot. However it looks there is no dampening effect option available in the buildin vmg.

I got dashboard v1.2.

I would also like to know if a history of vmg and sog can be made available, like the wind history?
The tactic dashboard does also has this feature but these dont work in android ATM.

Wondering why you don't have TWS and TWD, do you not have a wind instrument?

I asked already for such feature.

would be posible to show the date in the Dashboard?

I found some GNSS, most probably with outdated firmware, continuously jumping the date (could notice only in the moon age feature) but not able to see the date that are fixing.

The true wind inbound calculation using Signalk data was missing in 5.8.4. Try O 5.10 if there's a change for you.
