plugin compatibility

I am using opencpn 4.4.0 build 2016/05/31, on Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety Yak amd64 architecture.
ais radar plugin is not loaded because claimed incompatibility.
Opencpn recommends to install the updated version, despite i am using the most recent available (0.98-1, aisradar_pi_0.98-1_amd64.deb).
Where to get the most recent plugin libaisradar_pi.so?
The same applies to logbookkonni plugin.

Most of the plugins were not packaged for Ubuntu 16.10 yet (and neither the plugins nor OpenCPN 4.4 itself received any testing on it). As it is not a LTS release, I have not much motivation to invest time into it beyond "it will fix itself automagically with the next release of the package".
