Plugin and distribute

I have been piecing together and laying out an electronics package.
xb8000
4g Radar
hd7gen3
lowrance Outboard Pilot (AP)
Lowrance DSC with AIS VHF

Plugging in to distribute to the best way possible. Leverage small hd7gen3 into something bigger and easier. Test 4g radar on hds7gen3 and OpenCPN with br24radar.

I like the 4g plugged into the 17" Asus Laptop. The radar seems to work better with OpenCPN anyhow. Just listening to it there is a difference.

I'm about out of connectors so I couldn't keep trying to get back to the network somehow with another line from the router that the scanner is plugged into. I have one cable hits the laptop so I just need to find a way back inside the nema 2000.

It doesn't help that I don't have my MMSI so some of the better features of the xb8000 are not available to me right now.

Here are some shots and perhaps even a bug somehow when switching from AtoB radars I would get this dialog box that never ended.

I did manage chart overlay properly with the radar so happy when I saw that. Obviously pretty much a fluke given my data sources.

Can I take radar data from the router and put it back into the nema2000 network while at the same time sending it to my laptop. That should enable dual radar screens on the laptop with DuOS.

Re: Plugin and distribute

Moderate success. I just realized all I had to do was run the cable from the router to the r110 module and I had dual radar as in the picture. Not sure if I'm setting the radars up correctly so far as the A and B screens go. I'll have to go back and track down that post I guess.

Otherwise I was trying to find a function in the hds7gen3 to buy charts or be online per say. Perhaps I just haven't figured out where that transpires on it or in it.

So far not to impressed with the charts on the plotter compared to OpenCPN.

I was kind of hoping for better window control with DuOS but perhaps the real version has a screen resize option.

Oh and in the first screeshot wher it has been working for the last hour on the OpenCPN side it seems to redraw the entire boat and screen thus creating a pause every so often. Not sure if this is by design or a bug.

The third last screen I show it zoomed in my living room.

The second last screen well that is pretty sweet

Okay last one is just candy!

Re: Plugin and distribute

Turns out that the Bluetooth stack can't be implemented obviously in an android emulator so running of the Torque Pro over the emulator as well will not work. But covered the the display gauge and the torque pro on a phone so all is good anyway. Alternative would be to run two of the EV Display models on the system and order one with serial output that I could parse in a terminal on the laptop.
