Plugging in a 115200 Baud GPS

This question was put on a French forum.

I could only report that typing this value into the Toolbox/Gps NMEA baud rate line (overwriting a preset value) got it written in the .ini file.
But will that GPS work

OK, found why such a high rate (reported with correct COM port by the excellent Xport app) XPort

Got the hint by reading the thread on BU-353 mentioning SIRF mode...

This GPS was set in the high speed binary SIRF mode instead of classical NMEA mode.

Now the Sirfdemo app at
Falcom: SiRF
lets you switch between these two modes (at least on my trusted HI-204 III) but the steps are too complex to be described here... (who cares anyway...)
