What system (Windows, macOS, ...) are you on?
Did you check the plug-in manager catalog at Options|Plug-ins?

Thanks.

I'm on Rasbian/OpenPlotter.
Yes, it does not appear on this list, but exists on Open CPN Installer ...

Re: oTCurrent plugin

I have not tested the plugin with OpenPlotter/OpenCPN. Using a pi 4 I with the recommended OS, which is now 64bit, I installed the flatpak version of OpenCPN. otcurrent_pi worked with this setup.

Need to have a look at this one.

Re: oTCurrent plugin

Hello. Also with a RPi4, updated yesterday : Remember, I wrote down : "Installeur OpenCPN 2.2.3", but not in the list of "OpenCPN 5.6.0" plugins.
Where can I verify I have a 64bits OS ?

Hoping to read you soon. Lionel

Re: oTCurrent plugin

Ernest ...

Went through the ppa route and installed OpenCPN 5.6.0 on a fresh openplotter image.

The otcurrent_pi in plugin manager does not include a ubuntu 18.04 (bionic) armhf build.

I have now made a tarball which can be downloaded here:

https://cloudsmith.io/~opencpn/repos...+2791.077d77c/

Please can you try using this with 'Import plugin' and let us know if it works ok. If so I will update the versions in plugin manager.

Re: oTCurrent plugin

Well. Now I have the icon in the list (a arrow aiming to right below). But no more. Even the tides bars don't move when changing the hour. Now, it is alway low tide in Corwall and Devonshire. Hope this doesn't disturb the fishers !

More seriously, I will reboot plus shutdown. Sometimes it works. And on thursday I will discuss with a guy engaged in RPi development. I hope he will karcherised my Raspberry. After my RPi4 will be cleaned up, we will see. So wait until thurday evening, Rasbats. But your efforts are not vain, I assure you !
Do you know if currents appear in UK ? Because they do only in France, even if they don't move either ????

Re: oTCurrent plugin

Had to re-install initially to get a result. Then I used the tides for Europe from merak56 (v10). The arrows show and move with each hour.

Do you know a good screen capture utility for openplotter?!

Tidal streams appear for a limited number of stations on the English side of the channel.

Personnaly, I use VNC at home (fierwall existing, screen widder, etc. on the house computer). But I will install gnome screenshot as soon as my RPi4 will be connected. Thanks. Already, the recommanded burotic suite is regested.

Re: oTCurrent plugin

mgh ...

At the moment you need to select the tcdata harmonic files folder from the OpenCPN 5.2.4 program. The harmonics from that version have to be used even when running the plugin on OpenCPN 5.6.0.

Let us know if this works.

Re: oTCurrent plugin

Excuse me Rasbats, but I don't understand when you say "files from the OpenCPN 5.2.4 program". Why should they be different from the 5.6.0 ?

The harmonics I have seem to be the good ones, in France and in UK, as far as I don't try the otcurrent option on the menu.

I have the arrows of the current at the moment on the chart, but when I choose "otcurrent" on the menu, it says this :

Re: oTCurrent plugin

Thanks Mike. That worked.

For clarity for others, you need to add (not replace) the contents of the original tcdata folder from 5.2.4 to the same folder after you install 5.6.0. Simply replacing all the content does not work for some reason.
