OpenCPN windows "stuck" cannot move or resize

Hi,

Newbie here and sorry if this is a stupid question.

I've installed OpenCPN version 5.6.2-0+b75bc7b on a Raspberry Pi 4 with 8gb from the Openplotter image.

The issue is that when I open the options window, it is "stuck" to the top left of the screen. I cannot resize the options window, I cannot grab it with the mouse and move it.

Very strange behavior. All other windows except any in OpenCPN are fully rezisable and movable. For example a terminal window behaves normally.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks!

When I tried OpenPlotter in the RasPi 4 8GB, I had similar behaviours because I haven't activated the OpenGL and also I needed to download and install it, after that it was normal working with it.

How I did it? really I cannot remember, I left the RsaPi abandoned in a drawer, I had a lot of problems with "file permission" and at last installed windows 11 ARM64 on it, but really only using from time to time for update the o.s. only

Re: OpenCPN windows "stuck" cannot move or resize

Hi Corsair63

Thank you for the help. You were right, it was the OpenGL settings.

If I enable OpenGL then OpenCPN slows to almost unusably slow but the windows behave better.

But if I enable OpenGL and then select "Software OpenGL" the performance returns to being pretty good, and the windows work also.

So I guess the fix on Raspian is to enable Software OpenGL.

In case anyone stumbles on this post in the future with the same problems.
I'm running
OpenCPN version 5.6.2-0+b75be76
Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) aarch64
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4
Kernel: 5.15.84-v8+

Thanks !!

For your information I did my install with Openplotter image of 64 bits for bullseye and was running well.
