Opencpn - Where to next?

Been looking at the opencpn forum threads and either I can't read or else it appears nothing new is appearing, particularly relevant to Opencpn and Android. Is there any or likely to be any development in this direction? It also would be nice if people reading these forums actually stuck to the questions and not ramble on, ie, the question is for Android, so we don't want to be told, "get a different app" or "why do you want it on Android?". We all know there are lots of alternatives, but very scarce when it comes to reading the cm93 charts (as old as they maybe). Also, as a very experienced user of Opencpn I find it the most amazing piece of software around.

Re: Opencpn - Where to next?

Quincofish...
Is the fact that Android support landed in the master code a week ago (as announced in this very forum) good enough for you?
Is it production ready? No. Can you download and run it without a lot of effort and knowledge now? No.
Do you want something that works on Android now? Get a different app, really, we are not ready yet as you guys have been told so many times already. When we will, we will announce it, don't worry.

Thanks Pavel,

As I said, maybe I am blind... Have not seen anything about Opencpn since 2009..

So, again thanks for the reply, I will await the release, I am in no hurry, not leaving on my next cruise till April.. Android is a "would be nice" but I can certainly wait for it..

In that case, I must agree
To get you back on track, have a look at OpenCPN Release History | Official OpenCPN Homepage it will get you from 2009 to OpenCPN 4.0, released in January 2015...
