OpenCPN Waypoint Link on Android

I am trying to add a link from a waypoint to display an external image, I can create the link to the file but the link will not function. This function works fine on Windows but not on the Android version.
I have tried a link to .doc, .jpg and html files all with the same result.
Has anyone got this working
