Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10 Released

Version in PPA is 1:5.10.0 instead of 5.10.0. Is this intentional?

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10 Released

Already downloaded and installed in windows 11 and Raspi4 (Bookworm), seems to be stable, but still not available a direct access to the NMEA debug window.

thanks a lot for your efforts and job well done.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10 Released

Important for OpenPlotter users:

For OpenCPN 5.10 to work properly on OpenPlotter v4 you need to update the openplotter-opencpn-installer app to its latest version 4.2.0.

Changes:

- Support for the new version numbering in Ubutu PPA.

- If you had OpenCPN 5.8.4 installed from Debian backports and you run a regular system update, OpenCPN will be updated to version 5.10.0 from the Ubuntu PPA. The openplotter-opencpn-installer 4.2.0 update also contains the necessary changes so that you can continue using the plugins you were using in OpenCPN 5.8.4 without problems.

- The Debian backports version will probably take a while to be released, but you should have no problem running the PPA version, but if you have it, install the flatpak version.

Sailoog...

"Version in PPA is 1:5.10.0 instead of 5.10.0. Is this intentional?"

Yes, we are using a debian "epoch" version scheme to accommodate some prior versioning inconsistencies.

Thanks

Need to update the "whats new in this release" link on the website. It still links to a 5.8.4 what's new.
Navigating now with 5.10
Thanks for all the good work!

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10 Released

The same problem here in the Raspberry Pi 4 and 5.

No OpenGl available. Setting the OpenGL to =1 in the O config file also does not work.

OpenCPN Flatpak version 5.10.

The same in Bookworm, Ubuntu Noble Mumbat and Fedora 40

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10 Released

I'm having a problem with the display of objects. User standard objects is greyed out. My install is was clean and I'm running on W11 Pro. I'm using ENC charts.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10 Released

You need to select User Standard from the Chart hamburger menu before enabling the selection of vector chart objects in the Chart Settings.

I know... counter intuitive....And the question has been raised....
