OpenCPN Version 5.10.2 Released

OpenCPN Version 5.10.2 has been released.
This is a Service Release, updating and correcting several small issues with version 5.10.0

The installation downloads are available as follows:

Windows
MacOS
Packages are available at: https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/r...Release_5.10.2

Ubuntu
Packages are available from the OpenCPN repo at: https://launchpad.net/~opencpn/+archive/ubuntu/opencpn

flatpak
Package is available from normal flatpuk update repos.

Debian bookworm, including rPI
OpenCPN v5.10.2 is not updated fully at the temporary repo "crabdance". The version available there identifies as "5.10.0" still, but contains most of the corrections already.
There will be no release of v5.10.2 on the crabdance repo.
The full release of v5.10.2 for Debian will soon be available from the official bookworm/backports repo. This will probably take a few days.

All of the corresponding opencpn.org website links will be updated soon.

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10.2 Released

I went to the github link, clicked on setup.exe, and followed the instructions for an upgrade. The end result is I have nothing but grey.

In the last version 5.10.2 (2012) we can not reverse a route. This could be a severe issue for someone. Thanks.

P_Dub..
I just tested on my W10. No problem to reverse a old or a new route.
More details from your system?

I confirm what Hakan says but for the version 5.10.2 under Windows 11. No problem.

Windows10, latest version of 5.10.2 all way points unlock and the program crash and route lost. Short route no problem, longer route then crash.

I have drawn a route that crosses the Atlantic with about fifteen waypoints, and I have reversed the route several times without any problem. However, you have to zoom in "+" to enlarge an area around a waypoint and see the arrow. So, based on my test, everything seems normal to me.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10.2 Released

I had forgotten to rename the departure point and arrival point. So that was the reason. Thanks.

This is a mistake I make often. It cheers me up to see that other OpenCPN experts make it too.

Sorry, busy running a regatta this weekend.

I have since given up on keeping my charts with the install, and went for the clean new install from the website. Uninstalled all old versions.

Windows 10 install, got past the warnings from windows, and got this.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10.2 Released

Greetings,

New user here looking to install the windows version of 5.10.2 downloaded from the web site.

But before installing, I checked and the SHA256 hash I computed does not match the reference hash on the web site.

I confirmed this discrepancy by also testing the file with an online test tool.

Can someone assist confirming the discrepancy and see if this needs fixing?

Thanks!

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.10.2 Released

second...

Thanks for the catch.
The correct SHA for Windows installer should be:

Code:
85706f1c9f4ecff1769612c0220961ac689164361190d14ce387cf7dd87e8743

Will be corrected on the Website.

Thanks
Dave
