Dave and all, thanks for the help on getting this up and running. Not sure how you can prevent this from happening in the future... perhaps a warning/caution on the installer sequence if other dlls are present?

Re: OpenCPN Version 4.6.0 Released

Matt...

The Plugn internals changed at OCPN 4.2 and above. See the Plugin downloads page on the opencpn.org website.

We have code that tries to find older, incompatible Plugins, and blacklist them when detected. Somehow the older GE2Kap Plugin is slipping under our detection radar.

You can recover the situation without exiting and restarting by selecting a different chart group (right click "chart groups").
But it will fail again later.
Sorry for the delay - been working on the boat.

Just loaded 4.6.1 and my mouse problem has gone.
It seemed to me to be a kind of crash - maybe some kind of memory leak.
I use, literally, thousands of charts - most of the time in Chart Groups.
Definitely OK now.
Actually, as others have said, it seems much faster now as well.

Anyway, it is fine now.
I will now be moving on to 4.6.1 on the boat as well.

I'm also working on moving all my systems from Windows to Linux.
OpenCPN, of course will be coming with me to Linux.

Thanks Dave and all at OpenCPN for all the hard work - great project.
