Those are the official government charts with the highest levels of detail.

I tried wxwidgets 2.6 but apparently that's not compatible.

This is the ubuntu bug in question.

I would however assume that the current 2.8.10 stable packages in the official wxpython repository are patched?

I will give that a try and report back.

Dave, Thanks! And folder.xpm?

(grib.cpp)

Code:
#include "bitmaps/folder.xpm"
(I've created a temporary one for now, and after this everything builds and runs )

Momory leak in MSW GRIB function....

Folks....

There is a huge incremental memory leak in the Build 1117 MSW version while displaying GRIB data. It grows about 2 MB/sec., and soon swamps the system.
It becomes unusable very quickly.

I hate to do this, but...
Stand by for a new build tonight.

Build 1118 is working great. Core 2 duo machine running Vista, with a GlobalSat bu-353 USB GPS. Tested with CM93 2009 and NOAA ENC charts.

I loaded some fairly large GRIB files downloaded from saildocs and they work great. Wind and pressure only, with 7 time points (some in 12 hour gaps, some 24), with a 1 degree accuracy. I scrolled around and zoomed in and out quite a bit, with the GRIB file spanning most of the pacific, straddling the date line and running from 40N to 40S and saw no problems.

Thanks Dave, great as always.

test 1118 Windows Vista

Hello Dave
Thanks for the new 1118
1)Moving the map with the cursor is still slower and less freely With grib data shown on the screen than without
2)Routes/tracks properties dialogue doesn't work properly : When open with the default size ,impossible to access the different WP , and if enlarge it , click on a line shows a bar and stop all dialogue 's activities (see screen-shot attached)

regards
Jean Pierre

Hello Dave
Opening grib dialogue when more than about 10 files in the directory become very slow
may be a performance problem with grib function and vista ? (#27 part 1)
(I use a dual core cpu T3400 2.16GHz and 4GO memory)

Hello Dave,
Thanks for the beta version.
I think I have found a little bug.
The .kap file that crosses the Greenwich meridian does not work correctly.
In version 1.3.4 there was no problem.

regards

Test 1118 Vista

Looking great Dave,thanks.... GRIB working fine ...

Are you planning a grib capture interface later?
i.e. automatically prepare geo co-ords from map and prepare email text.
Like this Fugawi ENC screendump.
