OpenCPN v5 keeps defaulting night scheme

Hi,

Not sure why but OpenCPN started defaulting to night scheme when I start it.
I have tried setting to day and closing, reopen same issue.
Any ideas how to set to day scheme by default?

Also noticed it is not retaining the units of Knots/NM, keeps defaulting settings to Metres/km/h

I do not currently have this problem, but I did for a while on Debian. It would shift one setting each time I started. IIRC there are four (maybe three) total light settings, if I shut down in day setting it would restart in night 1, then .... until it went full circle and restarted in day mode.

Never found a satisfactory answer, but since I regularly rebuild that machine (it’s my experimental one) I eventually got an install that didn’t do it.

Sorry I can’t be any real help, but I figured knowing it was more than just Windows might be useful to someone.

Yes it was - unticking seems to have resolved! Thank you.

InlandECDIS is a feature used by many river boats (called barges) that move cargo on the rivers and canals in Europe. They are required to have an approved Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS). One of the requirements of InlandECDIS is that the display screen not blind the boat operator when the system is started at night. OpenCPN meets that requirement by starting in "dusk" mode every time it is started. OpenCPN is an approved ECDIS for use on the inland waterways of Europe.
