OpenCpn v4.1.1028 Android not showing Raster charts

Over the years, i have setup OpenCpn quite a few times on Androids and on various Windows versions with Vector and Raster charts. And always had success and no dramas.

Currently i am setting Cpn up on a friends Samsung Tab2 10" (reset to factory) and i cant get it to show any raster charts, Vector charts are showing fine .
A long yellow chart bar on the page bottom , BUT not Blue blocks.
All chart folders are listing in Chart groups.
I have compared my Nexus tablet settings with the Samsung Tab2 and all are identical.

I am totally at a loss, as to what the solution is here.
Can anyone help, please?

Have you updated the entire database and generated the necessary senc files? OpenCPN"s menus essentially require this database update and it can take awhile the first time.

Are you sure you are using chartdownloader properly? Have paths right? Update catalogs and then download the chart files?

Tab 2 came out in 2012 with Android 4.

Is that good enough for current OpenCPN?

I never ever used the Cpn chart-uploader. This APK version refuses to update them(all or any single country) anyway.(tried it a few times)

I have always downloaded bsb charts manually and never has a problem getting Cpn to load them in Windows or Androids.
I copied the same BSB chart folder , i used in Windows10 recently, to the Tab2 --> and it just does NOT want to know them. It only likes the cm93 charts.
As mentioned, I have used Cpn for many years, but this problem got me beat

What does your opencpn.log file say about loading these charts.
Can you copy or attach the file here?

Ah, that's the outdated, not maintained version. Forked from a very early beta of OpenCPN for Android.
The actual supported one which is in sync with the desktop version you find here:

Apart from what bcn says.......
OpenCPN cannot find any raster files in your listed chart directories.
Go back and check your installation,and find if and where you have any .kap files!

Well...If it can't find kap files -->CPN does list all the BSB charts under "Chart groups", clearly showing .bsb and .kap files. See photo

Old or not, I have successfully installed this version in quite a few Androids tablets & phones, but the TAB2 is for some reason not showing them.

MAYBE it is due to the 4.2 Android version, which I already tried upgrading to v5.1 Lollypop with Cyanogen mod , but it does not like that either as it resets to v4.2.2 again and again.
Open to suggestions apart from the paid Android version...

The "paid" Android OpenCPN version is the ONLY version worth using!

How does the chart file tab look like?
"Chart Groups" is secondary and can be misleading..

Not sure what you want to look at.. TABS??
If you mean folder tabs, They are the same as any other eg a brown representation of a manila folder
In the NZ chart folder are many subfolders, each containing one BSB & one KAP file.
Similar to the photo I uploaded earlier on.
