Don't understand what you are trying to say. The all_lower property is a boolean saying "Blacklist also all lower versions"
As you can see the conditions can be TRUE only only if "name == PluginBlacklist[i].name"

How did you install the plugin? sudo dpkg -i? Some GUI? What Linux distribution is it?

Just did the same thing as Pavel suggested to give the BR24 library the same permissions as other plugin libraries, it had installed as 770...

OCPN 2330 now accepts the plugin as valid. My install was done using the Deb package installer, GDebi, that was the default action from my file manager, I'm using Mint 17.

In the case we are handling now was the file not loaded due to incorrect rights and then we again check the blacklist and here is the file name end ("Radar_pi") also sufficient to match as it was before the change you did a week or two ago, from row 603.

Yes, that's a good catch. But the main problem is that this logic is applied at all on a library that can't be read. I'm at it.

Yes, why an additional blacklist check and especially here when the file isn't loaded anyhow?, I agree, the second check could probably be deleted.
The message box is however nice? Could it either be moved up to the first blacklist check or kept in the !IsLoaded part and combine the message to tell about blacklisting(>> transfer variables) or unsuccessful file opening?
Or just keep quiet and be satisfied with the logfile messages? >> You're the master!

Just a heads up that I am working on the reported issues

A beta to go with the latest 3.3.2410 OpenCPN beta will be released soon.

Once this hits, please all test the packaging (.deb, .pkg) in particular as there were some rough edges in the 1.0 release with the OSX (didn't actually install anything) and .deb packages (installed with the wrong privileges.)

Also, if you have any further issues please log them on Github ASAP and I may be able to work them in next week.
