OpenCPN ScreenShots, fun and interesting

Hi folks...

I'll start.

Garmin Radar overlay on a home-made GE2KAP chart in southern Bahamas.

Three points:

1. We have four neighbors. Note how easy it was to find an unoccupied clear sand anchoring spot.

2. I am continually amazed at the georef accuracy of GE images.

3. This image was captured live from a remote machine with VNC connection to my main production nav station computer.

Anyone else got some cool shots?

Dave

That part of the world has AIS repeaters at the base stations so the 200M away AIS target is being repeated by the 10M away base station.

More on the "fun" side...

4 weeks out of Cape Town, with no traffic at all during passage, a rather cold awakening to the joys of Terra Firma...

Good that after seeing the cruise ship point clearly behind, I relaxed enough to switch to day palette for taking the screenshot.

Tested a slightly modified Android Beta test 4.1.718 in a race Roslagsloppet | Med Roslagsfestivalen , ~80nm average speed 60mph .
Working perfectly a bit of lagging when turning.
Imported a GPX file from the organizer into O 3.2.2 windows , modified it , then imported to OA and used it as active route.
Has put Follow to the back button and zoom to volume buttons, can' t use fingers on screen when bumped around.
Run OA full screen on a Samsung S tab , but had a Garmin as backup.
