OpenCPN on Ubuntu 14.04 Vivid

Dear all,

I guess it is simply too early for having OpenCPN ready for Ubuntu 15.04, but when trying to install it from the PPA, I got the following dependency problems:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 opencpn : Depends: opencpn-tcdata but it is not installable
           Depends: opencpn-gshhs-low but it is not installable
           Recommends: xcalib but it is not going to be installed
           Recommends: opencpn-doc but it is not going to be installed
           Recommends: opencpn-gshhs-crude but it is not installable
           Recommends: opencpn-gshhs-intermediate but it is not installable
           Recommends: opencpn-gshhs-high but it is not installable
           Recommends: opencpn-gshhs-full but it is not installable

Has anyone else tried to install it on this version of Ubuntu?

I have it running in 14.04 LTS, works perfectly. I only use the LTS versions of Ubuntu, letting the intermediate upgrades pass.

I have OpenCpn installed in vivid from several months ago. Works like a charm, no problems at all.

The trick is just to change the version in software sources from vivid (added when you installed the ppa source) to utopic ....for now.

Then:

sudo apt-get update

...and you know.

Thanks for spotting it, the data packages in the PPA are now copied also to the Vivid release so everything should work as advertised.
