OpenCPN installation issues fedora 18

Installation of OpenCPN on the latest fedora release (fedora 18) fails because of conflicts:

Transaction Check Error:

file /usr/local/share from install of opencpn-3.1.1309-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.1-2.fc18.x86_64
file /usr/local/share/applications from install of opencpn-3.1.1309-1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.1-2.fc18.x86_64

Error Summary


The same errors show up after trying to install OpenCPN 3.0.2 (rpm), OpenCPN 3.1.1309 (rpm) or building from source.
I did not have these errors withe fedora 17.
Does anyone have any clues on how to solve this?

Yes OpenCPN is not the only package facing this problem :-(

I've just opened this bug to sort this out:

For now, you can install it with
# rpm -Uh --force opencpn_3.1.1309-2_x86_64.rpm

I had similar problems compiling various packages a couple of weeks ago but have not had any
issues with fc18 x86_64 in the last few days. I think there were some yum problems as I could
not install some -devel packages due to some weird prereqs that went away.

Currently running opencpn 3.1.1309

I've pushed the latest beta rpm saturday, can you test and report?

The cmake toolchain was changed for building rpm to fit these new requirements. Works for me now ;-)

I just tried the new package (1319) from a fresh fedora 18 xfce spin and I only get this message:

I do not have nevernote installed.

the rpm install as noted above worked fine.

Uh, I'm confused, I forgot to remove /usr/share/doc after testing...
Done now. I just released updated rpms (no change except that path removed). Should install fine now

I tested the latest rpm:

su -c "rpm -Uvh opencpn_3.1.1319-2_x86_64.rpm"

error: Failed dependencies:
libkml is needed by opencpn-3.1.1319-1.x86_64
uriparser is needed by opencpn-3.1.1319-1.x86_64

To resolve the dependencies I installed the package uriparser without problems, but libkml cannot be found.

It is remarkable that rpm is complaining about failing dependencies, where it did not complain when I installed version opencpn-3.1.1319-1.x86_64!

Installing the .rpm with the --force argument fails:
[peter@cello Downloads]$ su -c "rpm -Uvh --force opencpn_3.1.1319-2_x86_64.rpm"

Oh my! I left my development plugins in place while building the package and they brought more dependency to the package (the KML Overlay plugin require these) Only the x86_64 is broken, the other one is from a VM I don't use for development (only for testing and building packages)
One more try:
