OpenCPN in Automotive field

Hi all
I would like to use OpenCPN in automotive field like cars ,bus or other vehicles.Is it possible to use OpenCPN in automotive fields too? Can anyone suggest any option for it or can any other way to implement it?.I am waiting for your valuable feedback.

OpenGPS uses public domain GIS mapping for this. Have you explored this? I have seen the app used but I may have the name wrong.

Actually i am searching a way to add land maps too and in OpenCPN there is feature Dead reckoning . I would like to implement that feature in vehicles with GPS system.Is there any suitable method for it??
