OpenCPN - How to Translate?

Hello everyone,
I'm new on this forum and I live across the Atlantic, Algarve Portugal.
My question is, how can I change the default settings in the Object Query letters CM93.
In other words, I want the information of the Marks in Portuguese.
Another issue is the Charts I have are from 2001, there is a chance of getting a CM93 from zone 1 and 2 (Portugal) more updated.

AFAIK there is currently no Portuguese translation. Instructions are here and there's a general thread about the issues here. If you find you can't translate certain bits its because the code has not been prepared for translation of that bit yet. When you're done contribute the .po file here please.

The actual marks are part of the CMAP data set, you won't be able to do those.

You may be able to purchase some more up to date CMAP files online or from a vendor as these are still updated. Just make sure they are version 93/2 as later ones won't work.

Super job, there's a thread for translations on here, if you upload them there they will be introduced into the next opencpn release. Only the .po file is required, rename it to .po.doc as the forum software filters out .po files.

Note that further work may be required in the future, as not all the strings are available for translation yet & opencpn will hopefully be gaining features

A hug from this side of the Atlantic.
