OpenCPN - GRIB files will not update

I hate to ask as I'm sure it's operator error, but it's been over a year since I used OpenCPN and I cannot get the GRIB files to update. Grib files show Dec 2018, even when I press <NOW>. Running GRIB 4.1 plugin. I have <PREFERENCES> set to "load most recent file" which tells me maybe I need to manually load a file?

Sounds like you only have the previous Grib files in the computer. Have you downloaded recent Grib files? And then navigated to that file with the 'Open a new file'' button?

The 'Now' button is used to bring the data back to the present time if you have changed it on the window to the left.

Thank you so much for the responses. I did indeed find the SailDocs fetch function. Have also tinkered with Google Earth (which I could not get to function). I simply do not find OpenCPN intuitive at all. I guess that's why there are still expensive nav SW packages in the market.
