OpenCPN encounters errors on NOAA ENCs S-57

Hi,

I downloaded the Massachusetts, USA ENCs from NOAA at:
http://www.charts.noaa.gov/ENCs/Download, clicking on MA

MA_ENCs.zip was unpacked. In OpenCPN 3.2.2 I set the directory to point to this location. In charts menu, I click Scan Update and Force. Then apply. The app indicates an Error Has Occurred. Rescaning a few times fixes this and it makes it through the files.

Any ideas why this would occur? I would figure that all the NOAA maps should work without issues? I'm running on a Mac.

We need more info on the errors encountered. Was it a crash of OpenCPN, that needed restart? Any idea which chart(s) caused the error?
