FransonGate will split a single gps input to two or more virtual com outputs. Or PolarCom can output gps data to opencpn via its ports direction settings

In addition to vspe, pretty sure navmonpc - NavMonPc - also allows multiple virtual serial ports for output... Certainly there are options available for free, so don't spend any money to do this!

Ok thanks.
I installed and I saw the instructions, I did what told to do, I tried several attempts with my Gps USB, but the opencpn and polarcom not work both in parallel.
Have I done something wrong?

You have to supply some more info. I just installed VSPE and PolarCom.
I added in VSPE a splitter Com1 -> Com2
Configured PolarCom and OpenCPN both on Com2 and both are running without problems.

But, I need to change the windows control panel assigned to the door com9 GPS mouse?
The VSPE attaches com3> com1 and the windows control panel gives com9, i must change the com9 to com1?

you have to split the source side (Com9) to a Vritual port (com3) and then use virtual port (Com3) in OpenCpn etc

Thanks for your patience.
Split door com9 to COM1 and put in the opencpn and Polarcom COM1.
But no GPS sign of any device.

a) i don't know if we should do the guided tour in this forum, we better take this discussion off-line to a PM

b) from this point on you need to do a bit of debugging / searching yourself. you're almost there. In Polarcom, there is a NMEA debugging window, what's the output? Is there any output? in the OpenCPN toolbox, there is an option at the TAB GPS to show GPS/NMEA output, does the window shows any output.

c) i know you can select it but i have come across problems using standard comm ports as virtual so for me personally i would not use Com1 and Com2 as virtual port

One other remark, why do you have @ PolarCom Com1 specified as output port? This should be input

Unfortunately my technical knowledge are not the best.
I followed all the steps, do not know is I screwed up or is the system.
OpenCpn and PolarCom on my pc with the GPS mouse, do not work.
I give up.
Thank you all for your patience.

Come on Algarve, it's not that difficult, don't give up!

A) Does OpenCPN work with your GPS mouse on Com9 standalone?
Do you see in OpenCPN at the TAB GPS to show GPS/NMEA output data?

Now create a splitter virtual port Com3 from the source Com9 As Input

B) Does OpenCPN work with your GPS mouse on the virtual port Com3?
Do you see in OpenCPN at the TAB GPS to show GPS/NMEA output data?

If you don't want to test with OpenCPN but with PolarCom thats fine! There is an NMEA debugging window in PolarCom!

Only if this works use a next application on the virtual port

If all fails, I have to come over
