wwyd...
What's your setting for "OwnShip COG arrow predictor length (Minutes)" in the Toolbox? What's your actual speed? And at what scale the vector "disappears"?

Try increasing the value is my suggestion...

Re: opencpn cog vector

Hi Pavel

Thaks for your response. Cog 1440 minutes hence 24 hours. Speed 6 knots. Vector disappears when own ship icon becomes a target circle. Cause is not due to too short a vector or slow speed. Problem came with version 3.0.

Re: opencpn cog vector

I noticed the same problem with 3.0 this week--I set the vector 60 minutes ahead--like you say it did not occur on the previous version. Very early versions had the same issue, but it was fixed when they put in the adjustable time for the vector.

Re: opencpn cog vector

Well lets hope someone from opencpn reads this. I did mail them but I've done that before with no response. Maybe they heard my plea but it would have been nice if they let me know. Ha ha.

FYI....

If you think you have found a new bug, or something not working right, then FlySpray should be your first stop. If the bug is not already listed, add it

Hi Pavel and JesperWe

That's refreshing. Thank you for that. I mailed the address in the help section of the programme but I'm quite sure you must be inundated with mails.

Thank you bdbcat

All in all a supurb chart package. We have been doing yacht deliveries for 15 years and it is the best package we have utilized.

Re: opencpn cog vector

Two last requests

The AIS addon on version 3.0 doesn't have a cog vector in north up. Also in the dashboard please a cursor bearing and distance from ownship. There is obviously cursor co-ordinates and bearing and distance at the bottom of the screen but all is more legible in the dashboard and then one could disable the bottom bar to get more view.

Just my thoughts.
