Re: OpenCPN Beta Windows Plugins
Windows 7, O ver 1301, PI vers gecomapi_1.1 from the 4.1 bets download page
The Google Earth Plugin has a severe problem.
1. Activate the plugin by clicking it.
2. It will open a window and works just fine
3. Turn off the PI by clicking it (I assume this should kill the GE process but it doesn't)
4. Exit Opencpn (I assume this should kill the GE process but it doesn't)
5. Try to use the GE as an ap. Nada
7. Check the process list. There's a GE process running.
8. Kill it, and you can now run GE.

David, thank you for testing it out. Does P.Higgins know? I think he'll be able to fix it.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Windows Plugins
David and Gilletarom,
I realized I might be able to compile a current geocomapi v4.1.1301 with a current opencpn.lib Is this the GEplugin?
gecomapi_pi-1.1-ov4.1.1301-win32
Opencpn Beta File Thingie rguser rgpass
Look in 4.1.1301 PI Win
Anyway I've put it in 4.1.1301 PI Win
If you want to try it. Sorry I did not realize...

Re: OpenCPN Beta Windows Plugins
Note: Of course I missed the work Jon Gough has been doing on ODraw and WatchDog to get Alarms working, but that plugin documentation is in place.

Rick, I tried this one, it fails too. It even prevents O from exiting. No reply from Paul.

Hello,
This morning I installed the version of GE, downloaded to the thingie in O411317.
I tested this with VDR who read one of my old backup files.
Please note that I use the old version of Google Earth that I use to operate GE2KAP. This is the version "6.2.2.6613.exe" downloadable here: http://www.gdayii.ca/Downloads/googl...6.2.2.6613.exe on Paul's website.
With this version of GE, I tested the operation who ticked both boxes Preferences GE plugin or "Follow the map area" or "Follow the boat." I had no trouble leaving the plugin. I also tried to check or uncheck the checkbox "Disconnect the map area" without problem.
I do not know why it did not work perfectly with the previous beta OCPN but with this one (411,317), everything is fine.
B.R. Gilletarom.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Windows Plugins
David, what version of O were you using? A current beta? I left a update version of O in the home page that is paired with the plugin. Both have updated opencpn.lib. From Gille I think it works.

I used O 1301 and filethingie 1108. I'm also using GE 7.1.5
I going to add Pauls update to GE and see if that fixes it. I noticed that no vers of GE PI ins in thingie.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Windows Plugins
Yes, Rick used the wrong version of Draw. All of sudden the number of tabs in Preference has increased again and translations are not correct anymore.
I've used the version of OD that Hakan put in this thread yesterday. But presently I'm lost ......
