Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.604 Released

It worked out of the box - my shell script to update and build can be found at http://itp.tugraz.at/~ahi/download/opencpn-build

Might be a nice addition to Compiling - Linux | Official OpenCPN Homepage.

Regards
Andreas

You are right - will explore the possibilities for this. I am somehow experienced building debian packages, but not with cmake.

At the moment its just one data file /usr/share/opencpn/plugins/climatology/data/elnino_years.txt with a meager 3.8 KiBytes.

Best regards,
Andreas

Thanks for your routing plugin - was my reason to explore OpenCPN.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.604 Released

ahi...
cpack can actually build just one package per configuration AFAIK, so an alternative CMakeLists.txt or quite a lot of conditional stuff will probably be needed for other package to be generated.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.604 Released

Isobar values for this grib seem too large by a 10^2 factor. See file. I have to set the spacing to 500 to get a 5hPa spacing.
The close button on the grib pop-up is inoperative. I have to click on the grib icon to close it

I can't say that I have the same problem.
The strange thing with your picture #2 is that the button for pressure units is blank. I'm forced to choose between Millibars and mmHg, and a blank value is impossible on my Linux box.
Checking on an XP box I find that it it indeed possible to select a blank value. With this setting I get the same weird values as you. Clicking the pressure units selection button and choosing Millibars sorts out the situation.
So you clearly found a little bug!

Sailor54,Thomas
You are right
When the user do not choose a unit , it stay blank and , the result is strange.
We clearly have to set an unit by default ...
To come ...

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.604 Released

Same behaviour under W7 or XP

If I open O with a route visible I am unable to bring the focus to a waypoint. No matter where I right click on the route all I can bring up is the route dialog box. If I insert a waypoint somewhere along the route the behaviour reverts to normal.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.604 Released

Another little problem In version 3.3.604; when you have created a route and name it and then close the program, the route becomes unnamed upon re-opening. Why?
That is weir!

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.604 Released

There is definitely a problem with retaining the route names In the route manager of version 3.3.604. What change was done in the compiling process! Widows 7, 64 bits?

P_Dub...
As you may read in the release notes, this part of the code has been heavily rewritten. And yes, there are bugs - I just fixed a couple of them.

All...

Route/waypoint bugs acknowledged. Pavel has fixed all known problems, and committed to github, for those building from source.

Thanks, Pavel

I did not want to check huge data files into git. In that case the package is fine, but the plugin will be useless. A separate package will be needed for the data files, but maybe wait on it since I have not made the plugin official yet. I think I'll build into the plugin to display download link as well so maybe that will solve it.

P_Dub...

Next Beta no sooner than two weeks from now, perhaps even later.
