Release Notes:

Although it does not seem like a very big list, this Beta Release accomplishes 2 significant things:
1. Correct/implement all (or most) of the outstanding Flyspray bug reports related to 3.3.1303
2. Improve support of PlugIn Vector charts, in preparation for the next test of s63 PlugIn.

Once we get this code base stable, we will be able to tackle some of the oustanding Feature Requests on tap for the next Production Release.

Special note for Bluetooth users having trouble. #189 above will allow us to better understand why BT is failing on some Windows platforms. If you have previously had BT trouble, please try again with this Beta, and note log comments associated with Datastream operations.

Please check YOUR Flyspray tasks, and request a closure if satisfied. Or tell me more...

Thanks for your support.

Happy Testing
Dave

Dave..
Task:
186. Correct Garmin GPS Route Upload for Windows. (FS#1211)
Using Win32(XP)
I've tested to upload one route and a couple of WPs to a Garmin 12 (The same circuit as in Garmin 120). Works fine!

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released

Hi all...
The beta PPA packages are waiting in the build queue, should be ready in less than an hour. Canonical obsoleted Ubuntu 13.04 aka. Raring Ringtail since the last beta, so bad luck if you use this version, there will be no more packages built for it (you should still be able to use Precise or Saucy packages there)

Happy testing

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released

3.3.1328 wil not work with the first S-63 (3.3.1303) plug-in.

The corresponding one will be released later this week

#182. Improve AIS Msg9 (SAR Aircraft)
I might be blind, but ...
I can't see any changes in the display, and I can't find any relevant patches in Git.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released

There's apparently a new feature in the AIS target list to show/not show the target's track. It may be useful but with the new buttons -show/hide/toggle- a probably old miss has now became annoying.
If I select one row it's marked by a deep colour. If I now use any of the buttons the coloured marking disappear. The row is though still selected since the toggle button is active and functional for the selected row. But if I don't remember what row I selected I can't see witch row I'm editing. The marking ought to stay as long as a particular row is selected.

And more while on this topic. If I first select a row and then move down in the table using the slider the selected row moves out of focus. If I now use the toggle it's not obvious what I'm doing. I think the selected row should be forced visible into the window when I edit it using the toggle and possible any button.

And even more on the same table. Following other small window's behaviour a "Close" or "OK" button should be nice?

Q: Should comments like this for this beta be 1) -Only printed here. 2) -Only in Flyspray. Or 3) -Both here and in Flyspray.
Dave - Please advise

Hakan...
The first, will have a look, so far can't reproduce it on Linux, but the second, are you serious? Have you ever seen any application behave like this? I'm trying to remember, but really probably haven't seen something like that in my life. And when I want to scroll a sorted list, even thou I have some row selected, I usually know why I do it.

Pavel...
You may be right and I'm to ambitious? But...
If you scroll a command Window/shell and start typing some keys the focus returns to the command row.
But If you're editing a cell in Excel, scroll down and continue typing that row is not back in focus until you press Enter. So you're maybe right.
The lesson may be: Don't touch it if you don't know what you're doing??
The coloured mark should at least make it easier to find the selected row again?
And by the way - I'm on Win - Yes
Thanks Håkan

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released

Thomas...

Re #182, AIS SAR target...

sigh....That patch seems to have evaporated into the ether. Probably due to an unintentional get reset while chasing too many uncorrelated bugs, platforms, and plugins at the same time. Too bad, since the new aircraft icon was sort of cute...

So, back to the drawing board on that one...

Meanwhile, please ignore #182, and the associated Flyspray tasks.

Sorry
