I think that you misunderstand the interface. In your picture local time i 1534, and adding the time zone difference 4h, adds up to UTC 1934.
In other words, O shows tide in local time.

Rooiedirk...
Weather table:
Quick checking here looks OK for a few simple GRIBs.
Please attach the GRIB file you are looking at for comparison.
Thanks

Thomas, It is actually 1 hour out because of the time zone being 4h and not 5h.
Panama time is not in daylight saving time.
Best Regards.

As did-g remarks, the GRIB overlays can become slower with very large grib files. But that is not really the target use for OpenCPN GRIB PlugIn, so probably acceptable.
Let us know how it works on your systems, please.
Thanks

Dave
The files I tested were not big, but the reasonable size I use regularly during my navigation. That being said, I tested the new code on both my 2 systems. The problem is fixed and I retrieve the 4.2.0 speed performance
many thanks

I got the same message when I tried to update my Windows OpenCPN. Is that something that should be fixed or should I just go ahead and install the new beta version as a downgrade (instead of an upgrade) and forget about the message?

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.2.1706 Release
I'd like to show you how current is being displayed. The arrows are "hard to read". Difficult to see to which direction they are pointing.
I upgraded to version 4.2.1706 on W10, I used grib2 from ftp://ftp.bsh.de/Stroemungsvorhersagen/grib2/

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.2.1706 Release
Dave
Regarding using the zoom slow my PC.
Since I was the only one to have problems, there was a local cause to my PC. I have been cleaning cards loaded folders and card groups. And miraculously the problem disappeared. I can not reproduce it. However, it could be that it is related to the disappearance "unexplained", on the PC, a virtual disk on which I had charts of VisitMyharbour.
Sorry to have disturb you with this.

You could have a look at the settings
( button "settings" / tab "data"/ data type "current")
you have three possibilities for the direction arrows :
- Single, Double, Proportional
and for each two sizes : small & Default
May be among theses choices, you could find something satisfying

That did the job.
Thanks.
Should have found that out myself, shouldn't I.
