I am also getting the error "E: /var/cache/apt/archives/opencpn_5.5.1109+6641+6ec4c4a1e~ubuntu20.04.1_amd6 4.deb: trying to overwrite '/usr/share/locale/ar_SA/LC_MESSAGES/opencpn-chartdldr_pi.mo', which is also in package opencpn-data 5.2.4.0-0~focal1" even after deleting opencpn-chartdldr_pi.mo

Bonjour,
Je suis sous UBUNTU 20.04 et j'ai eu la même erreur. Après plusieurs essais, j'ai réussi à monter cette version en enlevant la version précédente. Je suis surpris que cette version soit Beta. La procédure de mise à jour que j'utilise, ne charge jamais les versions Beta. Il y a également une erreur dans la gestion de l'écran de mise à jour des plugins.

I am on UBUNTU 20.04 and I had the same error. After several tries, I managed to mount this version by removing the previous version. I'm surprised that this version is Beta. The update procedure I use, never loads Beta versions. There is also an error in the handling of the plugin update screen.

In the Server setting PPA I removed the bionic settings and back to the focal1 settings.

After some fiddling version 1109 is now working. If I try to switch opencpn-data on for installation, then I get a similar error then the one before.

Hope this helps to solve the problems.

1. Error regarding "opencpn-data" noted and resolved. You may like to update your repo's and try the latest available OCPN from the Beta PPA.
2. For information, the linux package "opencpn-data" is no longer required. It may be safely deleted.

- each plugin line is extended (need to scroll)
- SAR and Dashboard Tactics Icons seems to be messy
