Just gave it a go without the control checksum - didn't
work.
I did get the dashboard
rudder angle working though, bad news is your nmea massage needs to look something like this-
The *1 at the end is the checksum, the device sending adds this by adding up all the text in the message in a slightly odd way, the device receiving does the same and if the result is the same as the checksum sent then the message is probably OK.
The NMEA converter might be able to make a message like that for you from the messages coming in?
