OpenCPN 5.10.02 Android crashes with o-charts

Hi all,


I am in trouble alfter updating OpenCPN on my Android 12 phone:



While OpenCPN 5.10.02 loads the o-charts it crashes.


I have reinstalled OpenCPN. But I'am not able to install the o-charts plugin. I get the following error-message:



... The following library has encounted errors during startup:



/data/user/0/org.opencpn.opencpn/manPlug/libwatchdog_pi.so


...


I have updated the catalog twice, but the error persists.


Anyone an idea? I want go sailing tomorrow

Disable the watchdog plug-in...

I have not enabled a "watchdog" plugin (what is the name of this plugin?).

But I have encountered the same problem with other plugins:

While installing AutoPilotRoute I got same kind of error:


... encountered errors during startup:



.../libautopilot_route_pi.so



Is it possible that there is a bug in the plugin-catalog?

I have had this kind of error one or two years ago while updating the os of my pi. OpenCPN has had an wrong catalog with incompatible plugins ...

Same problem on my smartphone. I disabled watchdog, it doesn't change anything. But, no crash.

I try also with draw un-activate. Nothing change.
Then I desabled all plugin and try to install o-charts. Not possible to install O-Charts.

I have similar crash.

I have uninstalled (well as good as can be done via android) all plugins, yet it still says Ocharts is a problem at start up.

o-charts_pi for Android has been updated, correcting the startup problems seen on 64 bit arm based Android devices.

Version 2.0.11.0 is now available from the master catalog.

Hello again...


I see the following remaining plugin problems:


1. watchdog, corrected by disabling, then uninstalling the plugin.
2. AP Route, problem loading. I think this plugin has never actually worked properly on Android. Anyone used this plugin on Android previously?

Thanks for reacting quickly.

I was able to install the new version without any problem and the maps were displayed.
I was also able to update the map set.

But, having wanted to check the quality of the installed maps, it was impossible for me to read the entire white window in which the installation report is displayed. And this is because there is no way to move the window laterally.

Another consequence of this situation is that I was not able to close the window. I had to close OpenCPN to solve this problem.

I would like to point out that the Gib plugin now seems to be working correctly since we are once again able to download GFS type files.

That said, the server often declares itself "Busy".

The text that is displayed can only be displayed when an update of a set of nautical charts has been made. Once the update is obtained, it can be obtained if we want the verification of the quality of the nautical chart pack to be carried out.
But, outside of this context, unless I am mistaken, we can no longer do the verification.

So, I am unable to provide a screenshot of my smartphone.

Dave, another problem.


Today, although not sailing, I was on a beach and opening OpenCPN on my smartphone, I noticed that:
- I can display the probes,
- I can't display any text, even by checking the box in the hot dog at the bottom right of the screen.


Am I alone in this case?
