OpenCPN 4.2.8

Just installed 4.2.8.
Anker Watch seems to have a bug. Alarm sounds, even with boat in safety zone.
Please note I hadn't a gps connected and just moved ship by right click(but that was no problem in the past).
Any suggestions ? Thanks

I assume that you mean 4.8.2, the latest stable version of OpenCPN.

You must have updated from a fairly old version, judging from your description.

What you describe is a feature not a bug. For the anchor alarm to work properly, the GPS must work, so it's important to know if the gps don't work. The alarm goes off if you are outside the area or if the gps doesn't work.
In your old version, you could drag outside the alarm area without the alarm going off.....if the gps was malfunctioning at the same time.

If you still want the old behavior, it's easy to set up in newer versions of OpenCPN. Just drop a mark, right-click go to properties and set "Show Range rings". Set just one ring. The distance is in M so 0.01 + 18.5m and 0.005 = 9m (all approximately) etc...

Thanks Cagney. I was indeed trying out features, without gps connected.
