Re: OpenCPN 3.2.0 Released

Ahoy Shipmates!

Well, we have done it again.
Another successful OpenCPN Release is complete and ready to sail.

Bravo! My hat is off to all.

And once more it has been my great pleasure to work with the finest group of developers and testers in the OpenSource universe. And while we might not always have been coming at the inevitable problems from the same perspective or emphasis, we did come to reasonable and workable solutions in every case. And the result shows this level of thoughtful attention.

It is not possible to name each and every contributor to this Release and the Release process. But I believe you know who you are, and you should all be proud. Proud of your persistence, proud of your dedication, and above all proud of your collective accumulated knowledge about Electronic Charting. I hope you carry that knowledge forward, in whatever direction the winds take you.

So, you ask, "What's next?"
Maybe a bit of a code break, as it were, to allow the neurons to recharge. And then we will be back in the saddle. There are some interesting PlugIn ideas circulating, and I believe these may be profitably addressed...

With humble thanks to all
Dave

Re: OpenCPN 3.2.0 Released

Team...

Two quick points:

1. Please feel free to copy the Press Release to any and all interested parties by email, carrier pigeon, message in bottle, whatever. Spread the word

2. Mac Release is (surprise) delayed pending available bandwidth for the upload. Might be a couple of weeks until I get back onto a fast grid. Sorry....

Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN 3.2.0 Released

Congratulations to Dave and all others.
This is the best tool for a convenient, safe and affordable sailing . Though a new participant in this association I do feel the contributive attitude and willingness to unselfish chair knowledge and ideas to make every detail as good as possible.
The release timing is excellent as well. Ice begin to loosen up and it wont be long before I can loosen the ropes and test the new OCPN live.

Thanks and Happy Sailing.

Just to mention that the OpenCPN.org download page is not updated yet.

Anyhow - thanks everybody for the efforts.
The bottle of cava ( the catalan champagne) is in the fridge ready to give a welcome to the new version .

Re: OpenCPN 3.2.0 Released

Bravo Dave !
