open plotter 0.14.3 Alpha

Not sure where to put this, if it's in the wrong place, please let me know and I'll move it.
As the title shows, I needed to redo my open plotter install, current release version is I believe 0.10.0 but lacks features that were working, so I updated....3 times trying to make this new version work, but each time, the open plotter menu is broken, won't open for me.
This is on an RPI3,
No backups, so I'm SOL at this point, grrrr

It is of course an Alpha version. Things like this can happen. But now with latest 0.14.3 version it is running very well.

The problems were not the working of the system, but the starten of the OpenPlotter menu.

In the Raspian menu it is very simple to make a copy of the SD card, so that you always can fall back to a former version.

There seems to be a fix possible in the openplotter config.

I have took a backup copy and did the upgrade again. Problem is solved.

Now it works again and better then before.

You also can update Raspian in the terminal:

sudo apt update

then

sudo apt upgrade

If you like to have the latest kernel version:

sudo rpi-update

I accidentally upgraded the Linux Kernel a while ago and the OpenPlotter GUI then stopped working. Could you have done the same?

Latest kernel update is:

sudo rpi-update

Running very well here.

Version now is: 4.9.40-V7+ (uname -r voor the version info)

There have been problems with the OpenPlotter menu, but these are now solved.

It is also recommanded to upgrade the Raspian Linux with:

sudo apt update

then sudo apt upgrade

OpenGL in OpenCPN is switched to on.

Great progress has been made with the latest upgrades.
