Open GL problem with raster charts

Hi all - I just set up a brand new Windows 10 Dell computer with OpenCPN 4.8.4 with CA RNC charts and I'm having a problem when I have Open GL enabled. When I zoom in and out on the charts, I get these square blocks and some flickering. When I disable OpenGL, everything is fine again, aside from a more grainy charts that don't look as nice.

I'm wondering if this is the cause: On the back of the PC, there is a DisplayPort output which I have a converter to VGA plugged in and that goes to the monitor. I tried a different converter same problem. I also tried the HDMI output port using a converter to VGA and got the same results. Is it because I am converting the video signal to VGA? The reason why I did this is because the boat is very limited dash space and I can't fit a new monitor which has a DisplayPort input. They are all much larger in size. I need to stay with small 15-17" screen.

My next step as a test is to bring a nicer larger monitor down there with a DisplayPort input, getting rid of the adapter, and seeing what happens. If this doesn't work, then it's 100% software related and not the converter or monitor.


Any thoughts?

Disregard, I fixed the problem by reinstalling the latest video driver for the system.
