Open CPN User Manual

I am a totally new user and have very intermittent internet service at my location.
Is there a way to download the manual so I can study offline?
Did a copy and paste to Microsoft Word but many of the illustrations did not copy.
Also did a forum search and got no hits so please forgive if this has been covered previously.
Thanks to all,
Claude Martin

Re: Open CPN User Manual

Hi,

You can browse the User Manual by pressing the "?" tab when OpenCPN is running

If you have installed OpenCPN you already have the manual installed.
Press and then the help tab to access this built in version of the manual.

If you don't have OpenCPN installed use this link:OpenCPN User Manual

This works well, unless you are testing the beta version. The online manual/wiki is the only document that is reasonably up to date on the changes in the beta releases. You can download a snapshot of the current wiki through this link OpenCPN User Manual

Re: Open CPN User Manual

Hi Cowpoke,

When you are online go to the webpage for the manual.

Once that is fully loaded,

right click somewhere in the browser window,

from the popup menu that appears click 'Save Page As',

select a location on your HDD like 'My Documents' then click 'Save'. That saves the whole page to disk. Remember the name of the file.

Now you can open that file any time in your browser when you are offline.

I am using Firefox. The exact wording for saving the page from the drop down menu may be slightly different depending on which browser you use.
