Open cpn plugins

I have a problem to get the plugin for Fugawi Charts to work.
I am using win 10 and opencpn 5. I am downloading the plugin for the version 5. The downloading starts but ends very fast. No question coming up "finish installation" and the plugin does not show up under "option/settings/plugins"

I am also sometimes using version 4.8.4, there it works fine.

(I have a set of Fugawi Charts I want to use)

On Windows and I use the Fugawi plugin for O V5.0 available here.

I also made a reinstall just now and my Fugawi charts works fine.

You say: "The downloading starts but ends very fast..." Yes, the download process is fast. It's not a big file. But did you also run the downloaded ofc_pi-1.1.720-ov50-win32.exe file? What was the result then?

I checked the name of the file and it is exactly the same as you wrote. It looks as the plugin downloads. Then I download the charts, it looks as they download. I can not get the charts in a reasonable scale. I am getting an overview of Sweden with all the individual chart numbers but only in scale 1: 2000000 or 4000000

To have a fall back re. charts I am thinking of buying the vector charts from o-charts. I tried to download the oeSENC plugin but got warned by Microsoft Defender that it may harm the computer. For the time being I stopped there. I am having F-secure as my security s/w. Can I remove the Defender s/w and continue to download the plugin?
I can get my old BSB charts downloaded without problem.

First for Win10. My personal advice is to uninstall F-secure. Windows Defender is definitely good enough these days. So keep that.
F-secure is also known to block OpenCPN without reason and despite attempts to convince them on there false positive.

Win Defender does warn about about non Microsoft files like OpenCPN but you can convince Windows to use it. See my shots. On the first click "more info" and accept to proceed. If you get the second click "run anyway". You'll get another warning where you've to answer "Yes".
In case you (by mistake?) have set Windows to block all external program go to "Windows defender security center" -> "App and browser control" and select "Warn" or less.
To be able to use oeSENC chart you must install the plugin.

I downloaded the oeSENC plugin, no problem. Then I decided to buy the vector charts from o-charts. No problem to get them installed. I just have to get used to the somewhat different look compared to the Fugawi charts, they look exactly as the swedish charts for leisure boats.

Hello cpn users. I'm giving this a try: Are the online NOAA charts only for U.S waters?
I'm interested in obtaining Caribbean charts from the bvi's down to Grenada on my Raspberry Pi 4, using Open Cpn

Yes, they are only for US waters.

Imrays charts for the Eastern Caribbean are available for OpenCPN through O-Charts https://o-charts.org/shop/en/oernc/4...caribbean.html

These raster charts are using the oeRNC plugin.
