Open CPN Icon?

Im using Open CPN, have been for 4 years now, but the last two versions I have installed have not come with an Open CPN icon for the desktop or task bar icons. The program works fine I just have a button that looks like this:



Anyone have suggestions? I run windoz 7 on my pc. Currently running Version 4.0.0 Build 2015-01-08

Check the Open CPN folder to see if the Icon is there or get it off the net. It used to be possible to copy and paste any icon into the button. Check the button properties to see if that is possible.

The Open CPN icon is in programfiles(486)/openCPN/docs/images/
If you right click/properties/change icon on your current icon you should be able to browse though to that image and select it. (at least that is how it works on Vista)

However, the correct image should have appeared and there must be a reason why it didn't

I have same problem, windows 7 dell laptop. Have not bothered to change icon program works fine.

Here's one- a "png", 48x48 pixels. you can resize it if needed...32x or 16x are pretty common for various uses.


"right-click ,save as," should work to download

I tried using a Png icon file but computer says I need an "icon" file? Program works fine just crummy icon

here-try this.right-click save as... you will have to get rid of the ".pdf". ...can't upload as plain .ico
