Open CPN - Free charts for Mediterranean Sea?

Hello !
I am new around here... Nice to see that the forum looks quite active..
CAnadian, but in Europe now...
I am giving a try to OPEN CPN...
BUT, I read somewhere that there are no free charts of the Mediterranean Sea that I could use on CPN ?
Apparently this is a good source of charts for open CPN :

Is that true that OPEN CPN has no Med sea free chart available from anywhere ? Something recent if possible
If there is, where exactly could I find it ?
Please keep in mind you are talking to someone who is really really not good with computers.... thx !!

Pretty much all the info you might ever need is in the manual, in this particular case in Chart Sources | Official OpenCPN Homepage - That there are no sources of free charts for the Mediterranean means that there are no such sources.

Not really Free, but pirated, the CM93 charts are great for planning, but think twice about navigating to unfamiliar places with them.

These charts are readily available, either by downloading or by copying a DVD from a fellow cruiser. Not legal, but very common among cruisers.
